Sheets
You may not need bedding if you are sleeping in a sleeping bag. But if you are on an air mattress or an RV mattress bedding is going to be pretty important. The purpose of the linens are to keep you from sticking to your mattress in the case of a vinyl air mattress and to keep you from getting the mattress dirty because if you are camping…. You are dirty.
Typically people will just utilize an old set of sheets, but you want to keep in mind the weather that you will be camping in. If it is on the colder side you might want to consider something warmer like flannel. If you are camping in the summer in Texas you want the coolest material available probably a breathable cotton like bamboo cotton.
You of course want to consider the size of the mattress as well. Most RV mattresses are thin so there is a good chance the sheets will be loose unless you find short sheets. RV sellers will carry these specific type of sheets. Check out the link to CampingWorld’s RV sheets.
If you are on an air mattress it will depend on the depth of the air mattress. Short sheets are 12 or 13 inches, deep sheets are 15 – 18 inches, and extra deep range from 16 to 22 inches. If there are issues you can also get sheet suspenders to pull tight those sheets which are too big for the mattress. Check out amazon’s selection below.
